Why See Romeo Santos?

Bronx-born singer Romeo Santos is the lead singer for Aventura, one of the US's top Bachata groups. Bachata is a style of music originating in the Dominican Republic. Romeo is fondly known as "King of modern Bachat" and has popularized this traditional Latin American genre amongst a wider audience.

Romeo Santos first began performing with his church choir at the age of just twelve. He formed the group Aventura in 1994 and though he still tours with them, has gained much of his fan base via his solo work. He released his first single, "You", in 2011 alongside a solo album - a move which helped gain Romea many English-language fans to add to his already growing Latin American following.
