Loverly Reviews Across The Board For My Fair Lady!

The long-awaited revival of My Fair Lady returned to Broadway last night (April 19), achieving incredible reviews across the board, it looks like My Fair Lady has staked its claim as one of Broadways best shows.

Opening at the Lincoln Center, The New York Times said that the production was 'marvellous' with the Guardian saying that the musical was 'Expertly acted, pleasingly sung, and often visually splendid, it makes a good faith attempt to honor the show's history and intentions while also acknowledging the charged sexual politics of the moment'.

Variety praised the production, saying that it was 'This jubilant revival is meticulously mounted and entirely welcome', continuing with 'With Lerner and Loewe's soaring score and Sher's respectful staging, a beloved show comes alive in all its glory to end the theater season on a high'. The Washington Post was also full of praise saying that 'The talented actress-singer, showing off galvanizing vocal instruments, makes so abundantly clear the qualities of resilience and generosity in Eliza that we’re compelled to the certainty that the unworthy men who seeks to keep her caged are baser characters.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of this brand new revival of a classic Broadway musical, here's to a glittering run!
