A powerful voice, both physically and metaphorically
Exiled Russian rock star Zemfira makes a rare string of live appearances in North America this spring! The artist is one of the biggest Russia has produced over the past few decades, with over 3 million records sold and an MTV Europe Award under her belt. Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Zemfira's staunch anti-war position led to her being branded a 'foreign agent' by Russian authorities, with the artist fleeing to Paris where she has resided since.
Zemfira came to prominence in her homeland with the release of her 1999 self-titled debut, selling over 700,000 copies in Russia and marking the start of a two-and-a-half decade career which has seen her perform with Queen at the MTV Russia Awards, headline the Olympic Stadium in Moscow and, more recently, wins at the Berlin Music Video Awards for her 2021 single 'Austin'.
