CHAKA UP CLOSE
Show got started 20mins late. Strong fast
and exciting once on stage. Audience 100%
into Chaka she looked great band sounded
loud but energy was on point. 20 min outfit
change had me concerned and suprised.
She normally doesn't change. Band play 2
full songs while Chaka changed. Overall a
great show. She had a cold bUT once her
voice was warmed up she show cased her
vocal range.

CHAKA KHAN
All I can say is WOW. She was incredible we
came for a show and we got one. This is exactly
what I wanted to see . Chaka Khan knows how
to give a great show she sang all of her hits she
was funny and she included the audience. My
friends and I have her a At awesome show. I
would and have recommended this show to
everyone. The seats were great the Warner is a
great place for shoes. We ate at Fogo de Chao
really good food parking was easy and I would
bring my mom but not kids I like to go to adult
affairs. Thank you Warner Theater I had a
marvelous time seeing Chaka Khan.

AWESOME SHOW WITH CHAKA KHAN
Chaka Khan gave a strong performance with a solid set of music that kept people moving and upbeat. She sang all the hits that we love. The band was great! Chaka took about 20 mins to change or take a break but finished the evening in great form. The band and singers kept the show going during that time with a great drum set. The woman is almost 70 so I give her great credit for performing and getting out there!! She looked really good and her voice is beautiful. Glad we went!

CHAKA KHAN AT DENVER BOTANIC
Seen Chaka perform with Rufus at Mississippi Valley State University, circa 1978.
Now, was able to see her perform in a venue unlike I have ever experienced for a
concert. The show for Chaka was sold out and I was able to obtain one
compensated ticket.
Via a VIP Meet and Greet pass. I came from Western Kansas to see the show and
Meet Chaka. After my research of what to expect attending at the venue, all went
well, except the fact that I enjoyed the pre-entry experience, "Such" performer
opening act, botanic gardens and Chaka performance, that I missed the call to meet
her.
I missed the opportunity to get my rewards, having bought a Meet and Greet pass.
I am just sharing and will not dwell on the missed opportunity.
Chaka Khan is an icon, a woman of a certain age and has many fans. So, the concert
was rain or shine. It rained. She was not the high energy performer of yesteryear,
but the experience of the concert, by Khan, was memorable.
Have a blessed Day.

A WONDERFUL EVENING
Great seats, great Band overall great production. I'm in my 50s and a long time fan of Chaka. This was the first time my wife and I saw her live. We both felt that she wasn't "all in" on the performance. She seemed al little loopy. Maybe a little groggy from the cold medicine, or perhaps even intoxicated. We went to the Warner because of the intimate setting. I felt like we got more of a rock concert. Seemed like we got more of the band and back-up singers than Ckaka. We still love her to death.

SHOULD OF BEEN 5 STARS
The venue sitting outside is wonderful all Season but great singers do not control the sound and that's my beef ! I've been loving Chaka since "Tell Me Something Good" and I always will. But, next Season PLEASE fix the mix. I want to hear the vocalist not just overly amplified instruments. Thanks Chaka you looked beautiful ! So glad Macy Gray is on tour with you too.

GREAT BAND - CHAKA NOT SO MUCH
Botanic Gardens is a great venue but has its challenges beginning with a long wait time in a
line that spiraled for blocks. Not to mention lack of parking issues. After arriving 2 hrs early,
we found seating on a hilly area behind the stage. Chaka started 20 mins late and seemed low
energy. She sang significantly off key at times however her back up singers and band
compensated. She seemed either ill, on medication, or maybe intoxicated. After a rather short
set, she took a 20 minute break at which time we left. Ending on a positive note - the gardens
are lovely, great song list, excellent band, enthusiastic audience, beautiful weather. Chaka,
sorry to say disappointed, at least on her opening set.

CONCERNED
We were so looking forward to seeing Chaka at Twin River Casino, Lincoln RI!!
The show started out great until Chaka disappeared for over 15 minutes and came back out acting and singing sloppy, and requiring assistance from an on sage bodyguard to help her walk and bend to shake hands. We love Chaka, but it appeared something was very "off". On a god note, our seats were great...lol

CHILD OF THE 70'S
when I first heard Chaka Khan and then band Rufus I was hooked on her voice and sound even before I had ever seen her, .The way she was able to do her own background vocals as well as lead vocals just the best. Through the years I would purchase anything she would record and was very glad when she solo then finally I was able to see her live in concert she did not disappoint. That being said here in Philadelphia at the Tower Theatre where she performed 03-11-18 was not her best at all from the beginning she had immediately explained to the audience of having a cold which can alter the voice a lot not able to sustain high and long notes on most of her popular and well known songs was very apparent. Meanwhile she looked fantastic it's that toll on the voice was obvious . Now we know a lot of artist go through this one or more times understandably she's no exception she gave kudos to her very strong singing background singers they really came through for her and her band.. Better times.

CHAKA KHAN
Chaka looked good. Voice was great. Band and background singers were very good. Overall, show was very disappointing. Show continuity and programming were bad. Limited song list. Show didn't flow. Would sing one song and when song ended, it would be silent. Left the stage for about 20 minutes with band playing. Thought she was doing a costume change, but came back in same clothes. Sang about 3 more songs and abruptly left stage. From the way she was acting, it appeared she was high or intoxicated or something.

FROM READING THE OTHER REVIEWS
From other venues sounds like we had the same experience last nite. A legend for sure but she didn’t seem all in. Low energy a bit and she finally broke in and stopped a song to complain about the sound mix. Left the stage for a good 15 minutes while her band played on. Came back did 3/4 more songs then turned and left. Lights came on and it was clear to me she’d had enough it appeared.

SOMEWHAT DISAPPOINTED...EXPECTED MORE FROM HER.
I thought she was opening act, but George Benson went on first. (He was terrific!). Chaka Khan came out after 15-20 min. "intermission" from band set up. She started out strong. Vocal range was amazing. Then she left the stage after about 4 songs, letting her backup singers "take over". Band seemed surprised at her absence & waited for her return, then resumed with instrumental & "battle of drummers". After 20 min came back & sang seated for 3 songs. Seemed "drowsy"/ill. Finished up with more vigor, but lost momentum of show until end. Finished up with strong showing of "Through the Fire". I've seen her perform before, & shows were much more "high energy" previously. Maybe due to her age? Or an illness?

THAT WAS SO DISAPPOINTING
My review I s for San Diego just sounds li j evthe Philadelphia reviews.
Wish I read the other reviews before I wasted my money. No energy, barely sang, was gone from the stage for 15 minutes, started 15 minutes late, so her concert or rather the back up singers and bands concert lasted an hour. Is she drugged or what? Shuffled when she attempted to walk? Talked more about people in the audience than sang. I want my money back.

CAPTURING THE OLD DAYS
We as consumers try to recapture old days by going to some of these washed out performers shows who have run out of money and need to perform. They are neither up to it physically and should not waste our money. They don't waste my money because I won't go. Sounds like Chaka relapsed on her drug of choice. She can barely walk out to the stage. Give her a cane and sit her down. Too many singers and actors lost to drug over dose: Whitney Houstone, Michael Jackson. I prefer to remember how it was, put a cd or record of their music on and enjoy. Rather than go to a concert, give them my money and see the singer struggle. It is your/ my choice!

CHAKA CON
Chaka is confused as to the role of headliner. The concert was held up by the background vocalists who sound exactly like Chaka. While they sang every so often Chaka let out a sound to let us know she was there. The audience did a great rendition of Everlasting Love while Chaka held the microphone out toward the audience. She was upbeat and sounded great we she did sing. She was happy ad sang happy birthday to someone in the audience. She did shuffle like in a bathrobe due to her flat boots. I am certain she was NOT on drugs. The thanked everyone for sticking with her through ups and downs. When I saw her at the Tower every walked out but me. This time I walked out. No magic here but lots of smoke and mirrors. Kahn did a con job for which there is no reason. She could have sat and sang pretty for two hours instead of just one song. She has the pipes but not the inclination.

CHAKA AT LYNN MASS JUNE 2022
I am a huge fan of Chaka. This was the worst concert I have ever been to. She let her band & back up singers do everything & barely sang- a shout here & there & we could tell she still has the pipes. She disappeared fir 29 minutes for a costume change & people yelled “Chaka Chaka” after 15 minutes. She seemed really out of it & I don’t know if she was tired , sick or had “other issues”. I’ve been to hundreds of concerts, seen almost all the legendary Divas & this was the worst concert I’ve ever been to.
