I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. Patti and her bands
performance last night. She is and always
has been so classy, down to earth with such
a beautiful voice.
I would recommend that the theatre
consider the acoustic within the room. I had
some challenges actually hearing some of
the lyrics. I am not sure if placement and
proximity to the stage played a part in this.
We were center isle six seats from the stage.
Thank you Ms. Patti for your presence and
blessing us with the gift God bestowed to
you, your beautiful voice and stage
presence.

DIVAS DYNASTY
I absolutely embrace each of these ladies, their accomplishments and their longevity. Conversely, I was very disappointed in a couple of levels. The 8 o'clock show didn't get started until almost 9 pm, and a lot of time was spent in between set-up. Stephanie Mills and Gladys Knight were fully vested; giving a good hour of entertainment. Kudos!!! Patti Labelle was close to midnight coming onstage and was done shortly thereafter. As a first-time attendee of one of her shows, I was both surprised and disappointed. All in all, the ladies are phenomenal. That's the reason for 4 stars.
There was plenty concessions in the theater; a little pricey, but an abundance nevertheless.
Our seats were mid-theater, so we were comfortable.

DISAPPOINTED
We was so looking forward to seeing Patti Labelle at the Artis in Naples. We had excellent seats. But, we were so disappointed. She sounded like she was screeching the lyrics. Plus, her band drown her out a lot. We wanted to hear her signature songs like "On My Own" or "Lady Marmalade," etc. earlier in the show. After an hour we left. So did several other people in the audience. Really disappointed in her selection of songs. Sing some of your stand-out hits earlier in the show and turn down the amps so we can hear your voice, not just the band.

PRAYERS FOR PATTI
First, I will say - I love and respect ANY artist able to stay relevant and be able to perform as these legends did. The best of the night was Stephanie Mills (we thought it was her show or she was singing for her life - because she slayed) Auntie Gladys did not disappoint - she is also a true legend. Love her stage presence & fan eye contact - i felt like she was singing to ME! Lastly but not least - Ms Patti. I understand she had a show the night before in Gulfport, MS. and a show after ours in Little Rock. Sad to say it appeared that she was not feeling well and she gave us what she could. I respect her for the "show must go on" attitude. However, I blinked and the show was over. She came onstage AFTER midnight and the songs felt rushed. I am giving the benefit of the doubt because she looked visibly unwell and I'm praying that she is taking care of herself and will respectfully assume she gave us the best she could considering the circumstances. Still a Stephanie, Gladys & Pattie Fan! XOXO

PATTI LABELLE @ BMPAC - VERY DISAPPOINTING
First of, the acoustics at the BBMann is terrible. We should have learned our lesson with other performances we've seen there (like Book of Mormon) where we could barely hear what was being said on stage. We thought maybe buying better/closer seats would help - but no. And Patti's performance was confusing and disappointing. She had her back to the audience about 50% of the time! She kept turning to the fan blowing on either side of the stage to cool off and then would continue to stand there not facing the audience and sing. And sometimes she'd just let the back up singers sing while she stood with her back to us. I love Pattis voice and she can still hit the high notes, but without more of her melodic voice in the rest of the song it just came across as schreeching. Sorry Patti, we love you, but you gotta shape up the act and give us more of you.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Patti no longer sings much at all, she screams those powerful and often high notes only somewhat connected to the song being sung by her backup singers (who were pretty good). She fussed with her hair/wig constantly and had her back to the audience fully 1/2 the time. Sad to say she “doddered” at times. Overall the concert was a mess except for the Pointer Sisters who get 4+ stars. Seating rows too close to get in and out and you need to get in and out as the dead time, fully 90 minutes or more, were dreadful. Making them worse was the constant ads running in the screens to join the casino “One” club, so bright that you needed sunglasses just to endure it. The wait between Pointer Sisters and Patti was I think about 45 minutes. If it was free, no if they paid me I would not do it again. I’d go see the Pointer Sisters, but Patti you need to hang it up and Tulalip, you need to do MUCH better! BTW not near enough toilets, next concert call me I’ll rent you some more porta-potty’s you cheapskates!
Stephanie Mills show up and turned it out last night. She was absolutely amazing with her powerful voice. (Diva ) Miss Gladys Knight still has a wonderful voice and gave a great show singing a collection of her songs as well as other amazing artists. She is always positive and singing praise to God. Patti LaBelle (Diva) is always late and never performs a full hour . You’re lucky if she sings (30 min) of her songs or other artists songs . Her Band is nice her DJ and Backup singers does most of the singing. She thinks screaming is singing. I know she has a wonderful voice, please sing the lyrics and not scream all the time . I would have left before she came out as others had . But my seat was on the far end of the row and I don’t like crossing people’s. When you’re being paid for your singing, that means you’re working. So give the people’s your best . I’m just saying what I heard from the crowd last night.
