The grand venue was only surpassed by the artist on centerstage - A R Rahman.
First, the venue - A superb mix of colors, technology, comfort and scale, makes this one
of the best venues for concerts in the USA. I have been to a fair share of those around
the country and this has to be at the top of the list.
Then, the performer - A R Rahman. Not enough has been said about the genius of the
man. With a simple warm-up and a modest introduction (considering the rock-star
status), he embraced the audience and led all through a fantastic performance. Must be
second nature to him and the artistes, but for the audience it was fresh and
exhilarating. He has a little bit of the Ray Charles moves when he is at the piano with his
glasses on. That adds to the mystique. The sufi songs were a nice break, particularly
with aesthetic and stunning background visuals. Percussions were a highlight, though
almost outdone by the sitar.
Overall, an absolute blast of an evening, gaining lots of memories.

A R RAHMAN - SMART FINANCIAL CENTER - HOUSTON - SEPT 15
Summary: Brilliant performance.
The concert started late, which seemed like the norm, when you consider the number of
people waltzing in more than half-an-hour past the start time. This was a shame and
reinforces the notion of lack of punctuality when it comes to Indian events.
But, that turned out to be the only black spot. From the intro, to the medley to the
rousing Sitar-Piano combination to lovely finish, this was a concert planned and
executed to perfection.
ARR was in full control and poise and had the pulse of the audience all the time. With
his volume of work, it is difficult to pick a bad song. He did a wonderful job with the mix
of languages - Tamil, Hindi - Telugu - Urdu etc - catering to every group in the audience.
The gimmick with the virtual percussion could have done with a bit more introduction
as most of the audience were wondering what's going on with the sign language.
Ranjit, Neeti, Sitarist, Mano, and all the performers did their portions brilliantly.
Thank you

MUSICAL PERFECTION, ORACLE EVENT STAFF ?????
A genius, loved the musicians and show. Very professional. Expected much better from
Oracle Arena, one door open 30 minutes late, 19,000 let in through one door. Cattle
herd. show was 1 hour late,Same thing getting out. Stuck in parking lot one hour dead
stop. Why, one exit only. I am a season ticket holder warriors, never have this problem.
Great Artist, Unfortunate.

MESMERIZING & STUNNING PERFORMANCE
A.R. Rahman @ Wolf Trap Park, Vienna, Va. was truly a Tantalizing Show! This was like seeing Yanni on Steroids ! Lead guitarist really rocked as did the flutist. 3 female vocalists balanced A.R. Rahman’s stunning lyrics ! Light Show was the icing on the cake.

DISAPPOINTED
AR Rahma’s mysic is always fantastic. But the live performance just didn’t hit the spot. There were too many screen promos. Screen overshadowed the live performers. Musicians were almost invisible. Very few classics. No energy on the stage. I am not against languages but the expectation was for Bollywood Hindi music but it ended up being more of a non-Hindi performance that left a large portion of the audience left disconnected.

NO TELUGU SONGS
It’s good if we knew what language songs he is going to perform . Don’t get me work I speak Hindi and Tamil . But as a telugu speaker I expected equal amount respect as 35% tickets sold to telugu speaking folks .
I personally like him but concert must have also focused on telugu songs
