Starring Kathleen Turner
Just how unconditional is unconditional love? That's the question at the center of the new play from John S. Anastasi (In My Father's Eyes), which has its world premiere at the New World Stages this October. The story follows a lesbian couple who are faced with a life altering decision, which could change their relationship forever. Anastasi has said that the acclaimed French movie Blue is the Warmest Color was the inspiration behind the story.
Playing the mother of one of the two leads is screen icon Kathleen Turner. One of the biggest film stars of the 1980s, Ms. Turner's film credits include Romancing the Stone, Prizzi's Honor and Peggy Sue Got Married, the latter of which earned her an Academy Award nomination. She's also been nominated twice for a Tony, for Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Making up the rest of the cast are Roya Shanks (NBC's The Slap), Rebecca Brookshere (The Real Thing) and Sofie Jean Gomez (Angles in America).
