Wake up and smell the mai tais, New York. Las Vegas has come calling on you. And it's on such good behavior, you'd be a churl not to embrace it as if it were a long-lost sibling

Why See Honeymoon in Vegas?

All's fair in love and... luck?

Love and luck collide in Las Vegas in this colorful comedy which transfers to Broadway from New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse. Tony Danza - one of television's most loved personalities and a bit of a Nineties icon in his own right - leads the cast of Honeymoon in Vegas. He plays gambler Tommy who tries his luck sweeping Betsy (Brynn O'Malley) off her feet and out of the arms of her fiance, Jack (Rob McClure), who has only just overcome his dire fear of marriage and popped the question!

Gary Griffin returns to direct the production, which drummed up some sterling reviews from press critics during its world premiere run in Millburn and now sees its three leads take the stage at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Honeymoon in Vegas is based on the 1992 film of the same name and saw three-time Tony winner Jason Robert Brown lend his musical genius as the composer of the show's brilliant songs and score. Brown earned his most latest Tony in 2014 for the recent Broadway production of The Bridges of Madison County, another screen-to-stage production.

What is Honeymoon in Vegas about?

Jack Singer is a small town kinda guy with a big, big phobia - marriage! After he finally plucks up the courage to propose to his beloved Betsy (after some not-so-subtle prodding from her) the lovebirds head to that iconic capital of romance and commitment...erm, Las Vegas, to get hitched. Sadly for Jack, that's where his luck starts to run out as they meet gambler Tommy Korman, who decides to swap cards for cupid and sweep Besty off her feet!
