British rockers Muse embark on a new world tour to promote their sixth studio album, The 2nd Law. The album is a fine blend of the band's trademark sci-fi rock sounds mixed with elements of synth pop and dubstep, a bold move even for a band whose signature sound is all about experimentation and is constantly evolving. The tour comes a few months after the albums release in fall 2012.
Reactions to their new album aside, Muse have a recording history which glitters with awards - two Brit Awards, eight NME Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards, and one Grammy to name a few! Formed in Devon, England in 1994 when the band members were not even eighteen years old yet, Muse's second EP Muscle Museum, contains the hit track of the same name and evidence of the band's incredible musical synergy.
With even the earliest signs pointing towards Muse's potential to have a huge impact on rock music, the band have surely surpassed every expectation in their twenty-year history. With each new album comes new songs set to stake their claim in rock history and help define and challenge the soundscape of the alternative genre.
