The acoustic solo act who handles arena shows all by himself.
How does a school geek, famed for his ginger hair and massive blue specs, go on to win the support of the hard-to-please grime scene and bag hoards of screaming females along the way? Welcome to the Ed Sheeran School of folk acoustic hip-hop thought.
Since he was younger, Ed had always wanted to make music, with a promising drive that is sometimes lacking in his peers, he has set out to continuously write and record his own songs with a fever that has earned him his place as a household name today.
With warm, lyrical melody that can have a sharp bite, he has traversed the folk-hip hop scene and emerged as a major player, selling out concerts almost immediately after the release of breakthrough single 'The A Team' and has gone on to work with some of the hottest and most in demand contemporary artists.
2010 saw Ed take a one way flight to America with little more than one contact, and manage to land up be-friending Jamie Foxx, who let him use his recording studio once he'd heard Sheeran at an open mic night in NYC.
Now, 4 years later, Sheeran doesn't have to scramble at open mic nights any more, as his collaborations have included writing for One Direction and duetting with new BFF Taylor Swift.
A truly moving performer, there is heart and humour and an incredible spirit about Ed and it's most definitely worth seeing!
