A cult Japanese institution, Takaruzka Revue have been putting their own unique spin of both Japanese and Western musicals and movies for over a hundred years. Composed entirely of women, the company was founded in 1914 as a tourist attraction for the town of Takaruzka, but has since blossomed into a veritable cultural phenomenon. Celebrated for both their gender subversion and strict commitment to the highest entertainment standards, Takaruzka Revue guarantee you a staging of Chicago you'll never forget.
Written by John Kander, Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, Chicago is the down and dirty story Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, both on trial for murder, who become infamous celebrities in prohibition-era America. It contains the musical theatre standards 'All that Jazz' and 'Razzle Dazzle'.
