Presented in the Peking Opera style- a traditional artform that blends incredible music, vocals, mime, dance and acrobatics and has been practised expertly in China for hundreds of years.
WHAT IS THE WHITE SNAKE ABOUT?
The White Snake (Zhang Huoding) is a mystical serpent living on the mountain with her sassy friend Green snake. After magically transforming into a beautiful woman, White Snake has a chance encounter with the kind and upright Xu Xaun. Falling deeply in love, the couple swiftly marry and along with Green Snake, begin a new life together. But Fai Hai, a buddhist monk, realises something is amiss on the mountain, and sets out to restore White Snake to her former self, pitting sky against ocean in the process.
A sweeping adventure that sees White Snake decide between Xu Xuan and the supernatural in this sweet tale of the fleeting nature of life and loss.
