It took a playwright Like Laurence Leamer to Bring Rose, the Kennedy Matriarch to life. Having read all of his works and admittedly I became a proponent of his writing after The Kennedy Women. Knowing him as a historian, the surprise of Rose was only in wondering what took so long to draw her. Leamer is a passionate writer who manages just enough distance from his subject's to insure a fair and honest portrait. None of Rose could have been possible without (well known in Washington circle's) a respect for women. He has a well documented record or both civil rights and women's advocacy. Bringing his articulate prose, his high regard for women and his extensive research, Run don't walk to the Clurman. I fully expect this to be on Broadway!
