Trouble is brewing in 1950s New Orleans in this new jazz musical
Set in the sizzling New Orleans of the 1950s, For The Last Time is brand new jazz musical which has its world premiere at the Clurman this May. Inspired by Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel The Marble Faun, the story follows a group of young artists whose idyllic creative clique is torn apart when their murky past catches up with them. Starring a cast of rising African-American talent, and boasting a live eight-piece jazz ensemble, For The Last Time is one of the most exciting additions to the off-Broadway season calendar.
The creative force behind this new show is jazz musician Nancy Harrow, who wrote the music & lyrics and co-authored the book. Born in 1930, Harrow has led an extraordinary career, releasing numerous records and collaborating with the likes of Dick Katz and Connie Kay. Will Pomerantz co-wrote the book and directs.
