Quinn's Latest Hilarious Potted History
Comedian Colin Quinn returns to Off-Broadway with his third one man show, with Jerry Seinfeld in the director's chair. Titled The New York Story, this show is a satirical look back at the Big Apple's history, chronicling its ups and downs, from its establishment as a Dutch fur trading outpost in the 1600s to the modern metropolis it is today. The pair previously worked together on Quinn's 2010 Broadway debut Long Story Short. The production returns to the Cherry Lane Theatre after a sold-out run earlier in 2015!
Who's Who?
Alongside his theatrical ventures, Quinn is probably still best known for his tenure on SNL, during which he created the character Lenny the Lion and hosted Weekend Update. He has a whole load of film credits to his name, including Trainwreck and Grown Ups.
One of the most popular comics of the past 30 years, Jerry Seinfeld rose through the stand-up ranks during the 1980s and then co-created NBC's Seinfeld alongside Larry David. The "show about nothing" introduced the world to Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer (and Newman), and became the biggest show on tv. His current project is Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, the Crackle web series which is on its sixth season, and is about...well, the title's pretty self-explanatory.
