Why See Faith Healer?

Captivating
Elysa Garnder - USA Today

Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes and Tony winner Cherry Jones star in one of the most renowned dramas of our time.

Faith Healer tells the story of Frank Hardy, the faith healer, and his wife Grace.  The play is told through a series of long monologues - two spoken by Frank, one spoken by Grace, and one spoken by Teddy, Frank's manager.  Frank and Grace travel around England, Scotland and Wales in a caravan, offering to heal the sick.  There's a couple of tragedies at the heart of this story - one being the death of Frank and Grace's baby.

A spellbinding play by one of Ireland's best-loved playwrights.  As the three bare their innermost thoughts, they ask potent questions about who we trust, what we know and why we believe.

The New York Times' chief critic Ben Brantley called the play, "a rare work of art."  In this mesmerizing production that originated at Dublin's famed Gate Theatre, Faith Healer gives audiences the unique opportunity to see three of our finest actors on one stage and will be a testament to those with faith in the lasting power of live theater.
