From poet and performer Carl Hancock Rux and musician Theo Bleckmann comes this new exploration of the life of Carl Einstein, the German-Jewish nephew of Albert and eminent scholar of Cubism and African Sculpture. He was the first Western academic to study aesthetics of the latter in depth. Whilst Carl is creating some of his best work, the world around him begins to boil as Nazi fascism carves inroads in Europe. This mesmerising narrative follows his life, works and heritage against the shadows of genocide and the fight for freedom.
