Don't miss the music of Phyllis Hyman revived by soul sensation Shuga Shang!
Tony-nominated singer and actress Phyllis Hyman's silky jazz-influenced vocals garnered much attention in the late 70s. The following decades saw her transform from backing singer to a tour de force front woman, riding the waves of Disco and RnB well into the 90s before her untimely death. Experience a tender tribute to the late pop songstress, with international pop sensation Shuga Shang and the Brencore Allstar Band at the helm.
Siting influences like Whitney Houston, Gladys Knight and Yolanda Adams, it's safe to say that Miss Shang has the kind of vocal pipes that could clear the cobwebs as well as do justice to Phyllis Hyman's music. Her soulful, sinfully sweet vocals and regal on-stage persona make her the best woman for the job! Together with her backing band, she'll be recreating hits such as You Know You Love Me and Betcha By Golly Wow.
