NATURALISTIC, PROFOUND
This piece was very moving. What is the meaning of Rose's life work as an artist? The man behind me sobbed. I wasn't far off. Nobody left the theatre during the show tonight and applause was generous. Unfortunately the quiet (non-theatrical) 'conversational style' in the round meant not catching every word. Did it matter? The gent behind me with the headphones said yes, every word counted. Audibility was not helped by the distracting sound of stage staff moved about behind adjacent curtain.

THE MICHAELS
Can’t say much about the play because it was very hard to hear the actors. I asked it the sound system was broken and was told no, “it is a “conversational play”. My advice is to take the headphones offered at the door. Wish i had.
