Jaja's African Hair Braiding gets extension

Jocelyn Bioh's brand new play has announced an extension through November 5!

With performances set to begin tonight at 8pm, Jocelyn Bioh's much anticipated new play announces an extension through November 5, due to increased demand.

Shaping up to be one of the fall's must-see shows, Jaja's African Hairbraiding is the playwright's follow-up to the smash hit 'School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play', which also premiered at the MCC in 2017 before going on to international success.

Now opening on October 3, and booking until November 5, make sure you secure your tickets, this is going to be big!

What is the story?

Set in Jaja's Harlem braiding salon, the play follows the lives of the local women as they exist in the salon and the West African immigrant braiders as they create incredible works of art with their client's hair. Love, dreams, and the reality of life all come into question in this stunning show.
