One of the most beloved plays in the Russian repertoire

Why See Uncle Vanya?

After an acclaimed and sold-out run of Anton Chekhov's rarely produced short stories, award-wining Russian director Aleksey Burago returns with Uncle Vanya, one of the most beloved comedies in the Russian repertoire. A once celebrated academic whose career and health are in decline, Professor Serebryakov returns to his late spouse's country estate with his glamorous young wife, where they bring the lives of everyone around them to utter chaos. Staged at the unusual and historic Stanton Street Shul, this exquisite production features the striking set design of Olia Rogova. Join The Russian Arts Theater & Studio as characters desperately fumble their way through love triangles, misunderstandings and the search for salvation.
