Black Angels Over Tuskegee

star 1star 2star 3star 3.5

Until June 17, 2016

The story of the Tuskegee Airmen - six men embarking upon a journey to become pilots in the United States Army Air Force. The play explores their collective struggle with Jim Crow, their intelligence, patriotism, dreams of an inclusive fair society, and brotherhood. The play goes beyond the headlines of the popular stories of the Tuskegee Airmen and exposes the men who exhibited the courage to excel, in spite of all the overwhelming odds against them.

Ruthless - The Musical

Until September 10, 2016

The wickedly funny Ruthless is revived at St Luke's in a newly reimagined form. Condensing the show into a tight 90 minutes, the musical's original director Joel Paley returns to helm this tale of frighteningly ambitious child stars and their pushy parents, which in the age of reality shows and Honey Boo Boo seems more prescient than ever!

Produced by three-time Tony winner Hinton Battle and directed by Smash's Kenneth Ferrone, the production follows five women as they prepare to bury the matriarch of their family. Truths, memories and relationships come to the fore, sometimes welcome, sometimes not. Bring your best gal pal, your sister, your mother, even your aunt for this celebration of female family.
