A feat of calculated risk remarkable bravery following the 1929 Wall Street Crash, philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr. managed to build an entire complex of buildings on the property that would attract top commercial clients and help salvage the depressed economy of the area. Part of the Rockafeller Center, Radio City Music Hall opened in 1932 and remains to this day an enduring icon that stands testament to the American Dream in the face of adversity. The Radio Corporation of America was one of those original tenants, leading to the name Radio City staying until this day, and is a worldwide attraction, staging huge music concerts, and of course acting as the home of the illustrious Rockettes.

Tame Impala

October 6, 2015

Tame Impala are back this year with a handful of dates across North America. These concerts may well be a testing ground for new material, as the band have been hard at work on their follow up to 2012's Lonerism. Tantalisingly for fans, lead singer Kevin Parker has decreed that their third album Currents will make "Lonerism look like amateur hour."

The War On Drugs

October 8, 2015

Philly natives The War On Drugs mix the delicate angularities of Indie-Rock, Americana, Shoegaze and Post-Punk Psychedelia to form a new kind of American Rock, the frontier of which they share with Young, Dylan, Springsteen and Knopfler. Unafraid of catchy hooks, driving guitar rhythms and a synth pad or two, the band's heartland sound evokes Kerouac's open road with a Prog twist. They now hit the road themselves on a Spring tour of the US.

Brandi Carlile

October 9, 2015

Just like her hero Patsy Cline, Brandi Carlile has a voice which seems barely constrained by any equipment attempting to record it. Along with her killer vocals, she's a songwriter of rare versatility, blending bluegrass stomp and tender pop balladry in the blink of an eye.
