A feat of calculated risk remarkable bravery following the 1929 Wall Street Crash, philanthropist John D. Rockefeller, Jr. managed to build an entire complex of buildings on the property that would attract top commercial clients and help salvage the depressed economy of the area. Part of the Rockafeller Center, Radio City Music Hall opened in 1932 and remains to this day an enduring icon that stands testament to the American Dream in the face of adversity. The Radio Corporation of America was one of those original tenants, leading to the name Radio City staying until this day, and is a worldwide attraction, staging huge music concerts, and of course acting as the home of the illustrious Rockettes.

Shawn Mendes

March 5, 2016

The infectious pop of Justin Bieber meets the DIY style of Ed Sheeran in Canadian singer Shawn Mendes, a teen whose ambitions garnered him a huge online following after posting videos of himself performing popular covers. This self-made attitude attracted the attention of Island Records, to which he signed, and together they released the record-breaking single 'Life of the Party' in June 2014.

New Order

March 10, 2016

Hot on the heels of their 2015 album Music Complete - the first new material in 10 years, these English New Wave vets are heading out on tour this March! Emerging out of the ashes of Joy Division, New Order were instrumental in the progression of alternative rock during the 80s. Their marrying of post-punk and electronic dance music, maybe best showcased in their monster hit Blue Monday, was hugely influential and set the ground for the baggy scene of 90s in the UK, which would itself birth Britpop.

The Music of David Bowie

April 1, 2016

A boundless innovator and songwriter of extraordinary invention, David Bowie did it all, bending the rules of one genre and then creating a whole new one. Through his experimentations in glam, kraut rock, soul and dance music, he influenced every musician under the sun, some of whom come together at Radio City Music Hall for this special memorial concert. Included on the bill are Cyndi Lauper, Cat Power and The Polyphonic Spree.

Operatic hearthrobs Il Divo return to North American shores as part of their huge 2016 world tour. They're supporting seventh studio album Amor & Pasion, which sees Urs, David, Carlos and Sebastien exploring their love of Latin music, mixing sizzling tangos and smoldering boleros.
