The Met's unforgettable production of Verdi's ancient Egyptian drama stars Liudmyla Monastyrska once again, alongside Latonia Moore, and Oksana Dykand. They share the title role of the enslaved Ethiopian princess caught in a love triangle with the heroic Radames, played by Marcello Giordani and Marco Berti, and the proud Egyptian princess Amneris, sung by Olga Borodina and Violeta Urmana.

Experience their fear and trepidation as they journey their way through a labyrinthine forest, full of giant puppet chefs and suit-wearing trees, all the way to a huge industrial kitchen nestling inside an innocent gingerbread house to find the wicked witch. Full of surreal characters and settings, this opera is a feast for both the ears and eyes!

Metropolitan Opera: The Merry Widow

Renee Fleming marks her return to the Met with the title role in Francis Lehar's classic operetta. Directed by Tony Award winning Susan Stroman (The Producers), this production promises a lavish take on Lehar's comic story of love blossoming amidst bureaucratic wrangling. Set against the background of fin de siecle Paris, scenes take place at Maxim's, with Fleming singing the role of the beguiling heiress that has all of Paris under her spell.
