Eva-Maria Westbroek stars in this Met Opera production of Shostakovich's tragedy. She plays the adulterous wife, Katerina, who is unfaithful to her husband with the visiting labourer, Sergei. When her father-in-law discovers her infidelity, she murders him with rat poison. Will Katerina and Sergei be able to keep their affair a secret? This production stars soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek as Katerina.
