Four highly acclaimed bel canto stars perform in this Metropolitan Opera production of Bellini's final opera, I Puritani. Lawrence Brownlee, Mariusz Kwiecien, and Michele Pertusi are joined by newcomer Olga Peretyatko who will bemaking her Met Opera debut as Elvira.
I Puritani was written by Vincenzo Bellini and was in fact his last opera. It is performed in three acts and is set in English during the English Civil War.
