Indie-rockers Metric have returned with their latest - and sixth - studio album, Pagans in Vegas. The synth-pop sounds doing the rounds in music today have rubbed off, but don't dismay, lead vocalist Emily Haines still gives each track the untamed edge synonymous with their sound. Formed in 1998 at Toronto, they're not only one of the few indie-rock bands that can pull of this dance-influenced sound whilst still retaining their original fan-base, but also one of the few bands whose line-up hasn't changed over the years.

Hatsune Miku is not just any pop star. In her native Japan, she has sold a staggering amount of records, been featured in video games, manga, cosplay and holds the distinction of having been sent to space in a rocket, twice. But just what is it about this 16-year-old star with two shining turquoise pigtails and a never-ending wardrobe?
