A Christmas Story

A Christmas Story at Lunt Fontanne Theater

Why see A Christmas Story?

In 1940's Indiana, a bespectacled boy named Ralphie has a big imagination and one wish for Christmas - a Red Ryder BB gun.

A kooky leg lamp, outrageous pink bunny pajamas, a cranky department store Santa and a triple-dog-dare to lick a freezing flagpole are just a few of the obstacles that stand between Ralphie and his Christmas dream.

A Christmas Story captures holiday wonder with such deliciously wicked wit that it is sure to delight children and grown-ups alike. It’s the Christmas present that you’ll cherish all holiday long.

LOVED IT!!

A wonderful show and great entertainment! The set was very well done and clever. The Old Man Character, Chris Swan, was absolutely hilarious! But hands down the children in the show are stunning, so talented and amazing, especially the boy who played Ralphie, Tommy Druhan, for our show! He gave such a performance and wonderful voice. Fun for the whole family! ... Read more

So Much Fun!

The show was fantastic, entertaining and so much fun! The narrator and the children did an amazing job. We did have the unpleasant experience of a very rude usher and I wish we had reported him before we left but the show itself was well worth going! ... Read more

Perfection, Streamlined, Honest

This intimate theatre was perfect for this perfect comedian. His writing and presentation was flawless.. He reflects an honesty of our human species which quickly disarms the hearts of the audience. I felt like I’d just had a heart to heart with “Uncle James”, who’d humorously disclosed his personal feelings about growing up. It takes great skill to cleverly and clearly communicate private insights of one’s own journey through life, and most certainly courage. James Acaster does it all. He is an extremely talented storyteller for any age group. His ability to use such effective body language and his facial expressions are so entertaining, his anecdotes immediately engage his listeners. He needed absolutely nothing else but himself on stage except the simple black background. No distractions. Good decision. He was that good. Comfortable, intimate seating allowed the audience to fully enjoy his show. This classy comedian is a joy to see in person! Perfect evening! ... Read more
