Big hair rockers return to a new arena: Broadway!

Why See Rock of Ages?

Broadway ShowsMusicals

THE ULTIMATE ARENA-ROCK LOVE STORY!

Rock of Ages is the five-time Tony nominated self-referential smash, packed with 30 electrifying hit songs from Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Twisted Sister, Bon Jovi and many more, that will transport you back in time to the heady days (and nights) on the Sunset Strip in 1987!

JUST A SMALL TOWN GIRL...

For Sherrie, the strip is the opportunity to start-over, and follow her dreams of becoming an actress. That is, until someone steals the small-town girl's suitcase, right outside of the world-famous Bourbon Room. Saved by the ambitious bus-boy, and wannabe singer Drew, its love at first sight for the pair, but the course of true love never runs smooth. There are a whole lot of obstacles in the way for their love and dreams on the wild Sunset scene. And what of the Bourbon Room? The venue that hosted some of hard rock's biggest acts is about to go under, but for one last plan.

Can they get mega star Stacee Jaxx to perform his last gig and save the club? Or is he more washed up than rock star these days. Don your leopard print and grab the hairspray, because you're in for a comedic glam metal treat!

DID YOU KNOW?

In July, 2009, the Broadway production of Rock of Ages organized the Guinness World Record for 'Largest Air Guitar Ensemble.'

Opening night: 24 March 2011

Audience

Rock of Ages is a full-out, blast-off, hold-onto-your-hairspray celebration of the great rock music of the 80s, and you might be wondering - or, admit it, hoping - your kids will love it as much as you will.

Well, we think they will, but you should know that some of the costumes, dancing and language might not be appropriate for kids under the age of 13.

We think teenagers will dig it, because it's totally awesome, sort of like a music video brought to life, complete with hot dancers and blazing guitar licks. You know the maturity of your children, so we suggest you use your best judgment about whether or not the show is appropriate for them. Remember, if you do bring them, they'll get to see you rockin' like you did back in the day. Just so you know.

2 hours 20 minutes with one 10 minute intermission.
