After 14 years between tours, Soundgarden was back in full force, its paradigm intact. This is one reunited band that can pick up right where it left off.
The New York Times
Back after yet another long hiatus, Soundgarden are embarking on a tour to support a brand new album! It will be the band's first since their 2012 release King Animal and their second collection of new material since the Nineties! Don't miss rock legend Chris Cornell and his mega-talented band when they play at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York, NY, Ended 23 Jan 2013.
With two Grammys and over 21 million records sold worldwide, Soundgarden had redefined rock music for a whole generation and had a revolutionary impact on the course of musical history. After helping define the course of grunge in the early 90s, the band broke-up in 1997 - leaving broken hearts scattered around the music scene. however in early 2010, the band announced a new beginning!
In the three years since their reunion, they released their first retrospective, Telephantasm, which was certified platinum, released their first live album, Live on I-5, they penned the end title song, "Live to Rise," for the feature film The Avengers which went to No.1 on Modern and Active Rock radio, AND headlined sold-out shows and festivals around the world. Clearly they're not done making their mark in music as they embark on a brand new tour with new material and, we're sure, some Soundgarden classics too.
