The Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre is a Broadway theatre, which was previously named the Plymouth Theatre, and is located at 236 West 45th Street (George Abbott Way) in midtown-Manhattan. It was renamed in 2005 in honor of Gerald Schoenfeld. The theatre was designed by architect Herbert J. Krapp, with the intention of resembling the Shubert and Booth theatres nearby, designed by Henry B. Herts. The building was then constructed by the Shubert brothers in 1917-18.

Al Pacino makes his long-awaited return to Broadway in a brand-new play especially written for him by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet. A frequent collaborator with Mamet, the two-time Tony-winning Pacino will originate the role of a semi-retired multi-millionaire, who has just bought an airplane for his much-younger fiancee. Just as he is about to leave the office one last time, his assistant (Fran Kranz) patches through a call. What transpires next will test the mettle of any person on the cusp of a life-changing event.
