THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY

Mr. Brown also brings layered textures of yearning to his songs for Francesca that make us experience the world through her startled, newly awakened senses. Or at least that's how we feel when Ms. O'Hara sings, in a voice that courses from flutelike fragility to thundering affirmation and back again.

The Bridges of Madison County is a brand new musical from Tony Award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown. The production and creative team includes direction by Bartlett Sher (Golden Boy and South Pacific) and a book by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman.

The production is based on Robert James Waller's acclaimed romance novel - a touching story about a brief, four-day love affair between a National Geographic photographer and an Italian-American housewife in 1965 Iowa.

Four-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara will star alongside Steven Pasquale in the production.
