PAUL TAYLOR DANCE COMPANY

Ended 29 Mar 2015 after 19 days

"Mr. Taylor is our greatest living choreographer"

New York Times

Closed 29 Mar 2015

A season of Paul Taylor's finest works

Dubbed by the New York Times as "the Greatest Choreographer alive" the legendary Paul Taylor has been making waves with his timeless modern dance since 1954. Never one to bow down to the establishment, Taylor has set his choreography to and taken inspiration from an eclectic mixture of genres from Ragtime to Rock, Baroque and classical symphony music. Join him at NY's David H. Koch Theatre for the first ever season of Paul Taylor's American Modern Dance, a compilation of his greatest works.

Over the years, Taylor has cultivated a repertoire of works unmatched in its poignancy, physical vigour and unorthodox vision. The programme includes performances of Esplanade, Aureole, Sunset and the NY debut of Taylor's latest work Sea Lark, an ode to the ocean that incorporates traditional sailor's dances and the music of Francis Poulenc's Les Biches.
