A highly relevant subject in news at the moment, gender identity is the driving force behind this new play by Anna Ziegler, based in part on a true story The consequences of a well-meaning doctor following a terrible accident to his infant patient come to light twenty years later, as the now-grown patient struggles to find his identity - and love - despite having been raised as a girl.

Covering a span of two decades, there is a fraught bond between the patient and his doctor, as the repercussions of his parents choice to raise him as female continue to unfold. Now a young adult, he must find his own identity, and the urgency is compounded when he falls in love for the first time.
