Eric Idle and John Du Prez are to recreate the magic of Life of Brian with a very special concert performance of their new show He's Not the Messiah (He's a Very Naughty Boy) with the Colliegiate Chorale at Carnegie Hall. Starring Idle himself, alongside Victoria Clark, Lauren Worsham and Marc Kudisch, this new comic oratio is set to sample Broadway style, with shade of doo-wop, hip hop and country, making it a sure highlight of the holidays!
Perhaps showing one of the more outrageous sides of Monty Python, Life of Brian was released in 1979 to critical acclaim, and widespread religious protest. Following Brian of Nazareth and his miss-identification as the prophesied Messiah, it's a hilarious look at religion and humanity, with some of Python's most memorable songs thrown in.
