Izzard's characterizations are far fuller now, and his rhetorical flourishes really are quite something. And even if you've seen Izzard many times before, you won't be hearing the same material.

The British comedian is often lauded as one of the world's most influential comics of the last 20 years, so any chance to see him in his original guise, doing stand-up, live, should be grasped with both hands, and possibly your legs too, when he hits the Beacon Theater in New York , NY , Ended 18 May 2014. .

In 2011 Izzard turned talking "bollocks" (a not-so-polite British word for nonsense!) into an art form performed and sold out Madison Square Garden in New York. Now in 2015 he embarks on a round-the-USA tour to bring his Force Majeure hot on the heels on his 2013 comedy album of the same name.

Izzard is a man of many talents; not content winning two Emmy Awards for his Dressed To Kill show, and a movie actor ("Valkyrie," "Ocean's Twelve," "Ocean's Thirteen"), he is also a keen learner of languages, having performed his entire Paris gig in French, and his Berlin show in German throughout. According to his team, he is planning on learning and performing his shows in Spanish, Russian and Arabic too.

Also a talented impressionist, his three most notable ones include God in the style of James Mason, Sean Connery as Noah and other characters, and Mrs. Badcrumble, a Scottish clarinet teacher, who was in in fact, his childhood piano teacher.
