TRANSPORT

The theatre is located on the fringe of the East Village, between Astor Place & East 4th Street, across from the Joseph Papp Public Theatre.

Bus: 
These buses have stops in the immediate area of the theatere: M101, M102, M2, M3, M5 and M13.

Subway
Take the "6" train to Astor Place, walk one block south on Lafayette Street. 

Take the “N” or the “R” to the 8th Street stop, walk one block south to Astor Place and one block east to Lafayette Street. 

Take the “B,”“D,”“F,” or “Q” to the Broadway-Lafayette stop, walk four blocks north to East 4th Street and one block east to Lafayette Street ,then walk one-half block north. 

Train
Take "33rd Street Train" to 9th Street Station. 
Walk East 4 Blocks to Lafayette Street. 
Turn Right and walk 2 blocks to The Astor Place Theatre.

From Penn Station
AMTRAK/Long Island Railroad/New Jersey Transit
Walk one and a half blocks east on 34th Street to 6th Avenue (Herald Square Station), take the “W” or the “R” train (DOWNTOWN) to the 8th Street stop, walk one block south to Astor and one block east to Lafayette Street. 
From Grand Central Station
Metro North

Walk to Times Square, take the “W” or the “R” to 8th Street, walk one block south to Astor and one block east to Lafayette Street.

Brooklyn Bridge 
Stay in right lane coming off bridge 
Follow signs to FDR Drive North 
Take exit 5 ( Houston Street ) 
Travel west on Houston Street 
Make a right on Lafayette Street 
Travel north 4 blocks to theatre 
George Washington Bridge 
Take Henry Hudson Pkwy/Westside Highway South 
Take the Canal Street - East exit 
Make a left on Centre Street (continues on next page) 
Centre Street merges into Lafayette Street 
Travel north on Lafayette Street to the theatre (approximately 4 blocks) 
Manhattan Bridge 
Stay in the right lane coming off the bridge on to Chrystie 
Travel west on Chrystie (approximately 7 short blocks) 
Make left on to Houston ; travel 3 blocks to Lafayette 
Make a right onto Lafayette 
Travel north on Lafayette (approximately 4 blocks) 
Williamsburg Bridge 
The bridge exits on Delancey 
Travel west on Delancey 
Make a right onto Lafayette 
Travel north to the theatre (approximately 4 blocks)

Brooklyn Battery Tunnel 
Stay to the left coming out of the tunnel 
Follow signs to FDR Drive North 
Take exit 5 ( Houston Street ) 
Travel west on Houston Street 
Make a right on Lafayette Street 
Travel north 4 blocks to theatre 
Holland Tunnel
NOTE: From points south of New York City – including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. take the New Jersey Turnpike to either Lincoln or Holland Tunnel.

Take the Canal Street - East exit 
Make a left on Centre Street 
Centre Street merges into Lafayette Street 
Travel north on Lafayette Street to the theatre 
Lincoln Tunnel
NOTE: From points south of New York City – including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. take the New Jersey Turnpike to either Lincoln or Holland Tunnel

Take the Westside Highway South 
Take the Canal Street - East exit 
Make a left on Centre Street 
Centre Street merges into Lafayette Street 
Travel north on Lafayette Street to the theatre 
Midtown Tunnel 
Take 2 nd Avenue south 
Make a right on 3 rd Street 
Make a right on Lafayette Street 
Travel north on Lafayette to theatre 

FDR Drive 
Take exit 5 ( Houston Street ) 
Travel west on Houston Street 
Make a right on Lafayette Street 
Travel north 4 blocks to theatre 
Westside Highway/Henry Hudson Parkway
