When he was a young boy in the 1930's, Shlomo Carlebach saw the Nazi regime murder a Jewish man for simply singing in the streets of Austria. Pledging for ever more to stand up for freedom of musical expression, this event came to shape the life of Carlebach leading him away from the war to the folk movement that blossomed forth from Greenwich Village and Haight-Ashbury. As a singer-songwriter, the inspiring life of the 'Singing Rabbi' became to symbolise hope and kindness as he found a way to heal through music. More infoBuy tickets
