If you haven't heard of this band, then shame on you. This 60-year-old blues guitarist keeps on plucking away and with 16 albums (five of which went Gold) under their collective belts, their passion hasn't diminished yet, something evident in their tub-thumpingly electric shows. Here's one band leader who truly is...bad to the bone! And let's face it, without that iconic song, Arnie's bad-ass naked bar scene in Terminator 2 would never have been so epic. More info

The South's favourite rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd has been together, in one form or another, since 1964. Their signature is the magical blend of not two but three guitars, which have weaved their way through iconic hits like Sweet Home Alabama, Simple Man and of course the ten minute epic Free Bird, which raised the bar to impossible heights for every guitar solo which was to follow. The band have overcome tragedies including the 1977 plane crash which claimed the lives of three members as well as the recent death of founding member Bob Burns, proving that they truly are the "phoenix" band of the South.
