When it comes to rock, there aren't many greater names than Deep Purple. The British group formed in 1968, and have been bursting eardrums ever since. Alongside fellow Brits Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath they practically defined what we now call 'hard rock' with albums like Machinehead and tracks including Smoke on the Water.

From originating the role of Elphaba in Wicked to singing Let It Go from Frozen, she's now undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the business. The outrageously talented Ms. Swift is taking her blockbuster 1989 album on a huge world tour throughout 2014/15. A full on pop record from the former country starlet, it includes the hit singles Shake It Off, Blank Space and Style. More info

U2 are back on the road in 2015 in support of Songs of Innocence, and playing indoor arenas for the first time in ten years. The band's last tour remains the highest grossing concert series of all time, which isn't surprising given the boy's enviable back catalogue and their penchant for jaw-dropping stage design. In one of the more unique collaborations in recent years, Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga have won wide acclaim with their duet album, Cheek to Cheek, exploring the intoxicating sound of jazz standards. Whilst Bennett has always been known for his career long obsession with the world of Jazz, Lady Gaga's change of scene is perhaps even more impressive than her fashion transformation, her rich voice was made for the likes of Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Gershwin. The British singer-songwriter and guitarist formerly of the band Traffic will be concentrating on his time as part of the collective, when he takes to the road this summer for no less than 30 dates. As one of the founding members, he performed on their first two albums, 1967's 'Mr. Fantasy' and their self-titled record the next year. After leaving Traffic, he succeeded in carving out a career as both a solo artist, with hits such as 'We Just Disagree' and 'Only You Know and I Know,' and as a sideman for other acts. In short, this is one rocker who refuses to keep still.

Performing once more, the legendary Dion takes to the stage with his versatile back-catalogue, the soundtrack of his journey from 1950's and 60's teen idol to gospel influenced blues singer. First emerging from the mean streets of the Bronx in 1957, the dapper Dion DiMucci stole hearts with his bouffant hair and sharp suits. In 1960 he made the leap to solo star, spawning the super-hits 'Runaround Sue' and 'A Teenager in love'. More info

Nicki Minaj's Pinkprint was one of the most talked records in recent memory. Released at the tail end of 2014, and proceeded by lead single Anaconda and its accompanying internet-breaking music video, it found the superstar MC entering more introspective territory than previous record Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. This supporting tour features support from Tinashe, Meek Mills and Rae Sremmund. More info


Titans of the 80's British Heavy-Metal revival and progenitors of contemporary Pop Metal Def Leppard have never let anything stand in their way, even their drummer Rick Allen losing an arm to a car accident. Overcoming this with a custom kit and a new style of drumming, the band surged on to create the album 'Hysteria', which hit 12 times platinum in US sales and sold over 20 million copies worldwide.

Through a tapestry of warm vocals and sun-soaked guitar hooks, Dawes have made a name for themselves for replicating the the feel of the Lauren Canyon sound of the 70's. But far from being a copy, the quartet are something retro inspired, but with a chilled vibe straight out of the present. Hot on the heels of releasing their 14th studio album Sonic Highways, alt-metal favorites Foo Fighters are heading on a gigantic world tour in 2015, with at least 28 dates in North America. These guys plays hard, fast alt-metal rock without ever falling into its heavier counterpart. Enduring through the sheer strength of their back catalogue, coupled with sheer hard work recording innovative new albums (such as Wasting Light {2011}) and long touring sprees, it is no wonder that this hard-working band managed to escape the early 2000s purge of alt-rock bands that shone bright but burnt out fast. Singer-songwriter Iron and Wine is known for his folk, rock and indie influences, he has released five studio albums predominantly through iTunes, the latest being Ghost on Ghost, which is more influenced by pop and R'n'B. His music has been featured on various television shows and films, including Grey's Anatomy, House and Twilight. More info

Baby-faced English singer Ezra infamously dropped out of college to pursue his music career and so far he hasn't disappointed. Already a favorite on the British festival circuit, he was recently named in the final five of BBC's Sound of 2014. He cites a a mixture of influences that come from both sides of the Atlantic that include Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Billy Bragg. This will be his first solo tour in the States, having opened for Hozier and Sam Smith already in 2015. More info

Hard rock Florida collective Shinedown are hitting the road this summer ahead of their fifth studio album release this year (as yet unnamed). They will also be supported by Nothing More for selected dates on the tour. Since forming in 2002, they have released four albums: Leave a Whisper (2003), Us and Them (2005), The Sound of Madness (2008), and Amaryllis (2012), and a total of 18 singles, selling over 6 million records worldwide. Rise Against still hold firm to the principal that punk should be about something, railing against political inequality and oppressive social forces with blistering riffs and fist-pumping, no-holds-barred sheer force of will. Joining them are metal rockers Killswitch, Engage and Letlive. More info

Rock icons Smashing Pumpkins and Marilyn Manson are launching a joint tour across North America in 2015, playing in support of their most recent offerings, Monuments to an Elegy and The Pale Emperor. More info

German folk duo Milky Chance head out on tour this summer with their reggae and electronica infused brand of poetic indie folk. Before hitting the mainstream the boys uploaded their song 'Stolen Dance' to Youtube, which quickly went viral, gaining over 30 million views. Since then they have toured extensively, selling out New York's famous Bowery Ballroom at their first North America appearance. Expect great things from these promising singer-songwriters who are influenced by everyone from Ray Charles to John Frusciante. More info

Culture Club are back and heading out on the road for the first time in 14 years! One of the UK's most successful bands, Culture Club, led by the riotously androgynous Boy George, conquered America in the early 80's with their catchy, soul soaked, calypso inspired records; including 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me' and the Latin flavoured 'I'll Tumble 4 Ya.' The Indigo Girls have steadfastly forged their own path through the music world for over two decades, and they don't show any sign of slowing down just yet. The duo of Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have now released 13 albums of breezy and lyrically adroit folk-rock, first emerging in the late 1980s alongside fellow Georgians REM, and are readying the release of a new record in 2015.

Bronx-born singer Romeo Santos is the lead singer for Aventura, one of the US's top Bachata groups. Bachata is a style of music originating in the Dominican Republic. South Korean pop stars Bangtan Boys are back in the US! The boys are embarking on a massive world tour throughout 2015 called Red Bullet, which hits North America in July. The septet's profile over here is growing and growing, having filmed the reality show American Hustle Life last summer, which saw them learning about West Coast hip-hop, and working with the likes of Coolio and Warren G. Legendary jam guitarist Warren Hayes is best known for his time with the rock bands Govt. Mule and the Allman Brothers but he's always had a soft spot for a bit of Americana. Hayes has been storing away tens and tens of folky numbers over the years, and in 2015 they're finally seeing the light of day. To do these numbers justice, he enlisted the help of new Jersey's finest practitioners of bluegrass and Americana, Railroad Earth. More info

Bob Dylan calls Gordon Lightfoot one of his favourite songwriters - a fine tribute to a legacy that is still being written. In a career spanning nearly 40 years, the Canadian folk legend has recorded over 200 songs, written many more, and influenced the sound of so many highly successful artists. More info

Anglo-Irish Boyband superstars The Wanted are currently on hiatus, taking time out for all the members to pursue solo careers. First out of the gate is Nathan Sykes, who is currently hard at work on his debut album. The two singles released so far, More Than You'll Ever Know and Kiss Me Quick, have been horn-heavy, stomping numbers, which suggest he's pursuing a very different sound from his Wanted material. Akin to the Mickey Mouse Club, Kidz Bop is the Number One brand in children's music, churning out family-friendly versions of today's pop hits, sung by the industry's future stars.
