CAN IT BE TRUE? 99% AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL?
Other than Yul Brynner being raised like Lazarus this is the best revival of the King and I ever produced! If you love d the King and I before your hopes and expectations will not only be met but exceeded. The portrayal by Wantabe as the King and O'Hara as Anna were magnificent. The orchestral accompaniment superbly executed the magical score and the other main characters were as close to the original as humanly possible. The acting is as good as the singing, the sets are exactly as they should be and the entire experience is why Broadway is the best theatre in America. Lincoln Center theatre is a perfect venue as there are no bad seats in the house. .
