After The Release of His Latest Album, Wyclef Jean Performs in New York
Haitian star and former Fugee member Wyclef Jean presents an evening of timeless and new music at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Since leaving the Fugees in 1997, Wyclef has gone on to produce various solo projects, certifying his talent and success as a talented rapper and musician.
Wyclef Jean first entered the spotlight as a founding member of 90s hip hop soul group the Fugees. With the Fugees, the artist took part in the creation of their record breaking second and final album The Score which was certified as six-times platinum, and subsequently created a musical legacy that is still felt today.
As a soloist Wyclef has seen many successes. He released his album The Carnival in 1997 and won the MTV Best R&B Video for his hit Gone Till November in 1998. Last year, he brought out his highly anticipated eight album Carnival III: The Fall and Rise of a Refugee.
