Starring Celebrated Dancer Robert Fairchild And Vampire Diaries' Paul Wesley
Fresh from a Tony Award-nominated stint on Broadway smash An American In Paris, former New York Ballet principal dancer Robert Fairchild makes his Off-Broadway debut as choreographer and lead role in the Ensemble For The Romantic Century production of Mary Shelley's legendary gothic tale Frankenstein, joining Fairchild is Vampire Diaries star Paul Wesley.
Written at a tumultuous time in Mary Shelley's life, Frankenstein mirrored and embodied her struggles with motherhood, the loss of three of her children and resulting depression. The production explores both sides of the story; the biography of the book's author reflected in her letters and diaries, as well as its titular monster, an unholy and tragic invention brought to terrifying life through dance, Bach-inspired music of the 19th century and excerpts from the novel.
