Why See Eve's Song?

A World Premiere

The world premiere of Eve's Song comes to The Public Theater's 2018/2019 season. Written by Patricia Ione Lloyd, a Public Theater Emerging Writers Group alum, and directed by Jo Bonney (Mlima's Tale), Eve's Song is a challenging, darkly humourous play about one black family living in modern America.

Having gone through a messy divorce and the revelation of her daughter's homosexuality, Deborah just wants to keep things normal at home. But as tensions outside their four walls continue to rise, and the lines between family, politics and the unseen begin to blur, Deborah and her family must fight to keep the ever-pressing dangers at bay.
