Why See Redemption of a Dogg?
It's Redemption of a D. O. double G
Get ready for urban theater like you've never seen it before! Written, produced and directed by Je' Caryous Johnson, Redemption of a Dogg stars legendary hip-hop artist and mogul Snoop Dogg as he makes his theatrical stage debut. R&B artist Tamar Braxton co-stars alongside Snoop in the show, which is inspired by Snoop and features a score of his greatest hits!
Whether you're a fan of Snoop or theater, this is an unmissable show and opens on the 25th anniversary of Snoop's debut album, Doggystyle, debuting in Houston before hitting the road.
What is redemption of a dogg about?
Featuring Snoop's songs, and inspired by the man himself (did we mention he's starring?) Redemption of a Dogg records the life of family man, rapper and man of god - whose character is built around Snoop Dogg. It examines the internal battle one man has when he's forced to choose between fame and fortune over the love of his life and family. It's a doggy dogg world, one that needs a resolution.

As a portrait of a displaced man unraveling, Mr. Cranston's wrenching performance stands on its own. In context, it's a terrifying reminder of how an all-too-human, anger-filled public figure, with access to a worldwide stage, can be mistaken for a god.
My Fair Lady
Expertly acted, pleasingly sung, and often visually splendid, it makes a good faith attempt to honor the show's history and intentions while also acknowledging the charged sexual politics of the moment
