GET TICKETS TO MUSICAL HISTORY
Attended Sat March 19th show - first there is no better opening number so hold on to your seats and enjoy. Kudos to costume chief - colorful, fitting the time period, vibrant and the 35 member cast were beaming in the many costume changes - they owned the period clothes. Audra is all around the best - singing/dancing playing the heart of the show - Adrienne Warren is about to steal the spotlight several times during production but a delight and great voice. The 4 male leads in each of their times hit home runs - each can sing dance but they have chemistry - Brian S Mitchell still has that commanding elegance and voice - Brandon V Dixon and Joshua Henry are a team on stage in the story and as performers who compliment Mitchell and Porter - which brings me to Billy Porter - he just knocks out the blues ballad in act 2 that brought people in the audience to their feet in admiration. So much to this show that is outstanding/tutorial - just trim a few minutes - kudos to all 35 performers

Shuffle Along is a gorgeous snapshot of Broadway nearly 100 years ago
For me, the show started long before the lights went down. Hearing the dancers warm up their tap shoes behind the curtain created a giddy anticipation for what would come next. Without knowing it, the audience was already being thrown into the backstage
