TRULY EXCELLENT

Beautifully acted and written. The actor who plays the son, in particular, is tremendous and has a soliloquy that is provocative, funny, truthful and somewhat unnerving, but in a good way. While this play will engage almost any theater-goer, it resonates more deeply with parents/kids who have recently been through a college (or other) admissions process in that it is so on point with respect to affirmative action and how schools appear to tow the mission-oriented line but really manipulate the concept. And we get so many different perspectives than our own that are quite illuminating. I found myself looking around the audience and hoping that the students "of color" in a high school group sitting near me were not made to feel uncomfortable by some of the perspectives. Would definitely take my college- aged, liberal kids who come from a diverse community. Should be read/seen by all admissions reps/counselors and any one who tends to believe that his/her views are always the "right"views

GREAT:WILL MAKE YOU QUESTION EVERYTHING YOU THOUGHT YOU KNEW

What an incredible play ! Not only is it very funny and extremely well written, acted and directed, but also, totally engaging throughout. This play provides an intellectual feast: whatever you thought about affirmative action and opportunities for diversity upon entering the theater will be turned upside down and inside out by this extraordinarily thoughtful work. Talk about getting your money's worth: if the purpose of theater is to compel the audience to engage in heated debate about ethics, values and beliefs that continues long after the lights have dimmed, then this play scores an A++.
