WONDERFUL!

Absolutely loved this play! It leaves the audience with something to think about. The Nance had remarkable performances from the entire cast, but something about Nathan Lane just embodies his character. It had a sense of humor to break up the dark and often heart wrenching feelings it stirred. I couldn't recommend it enough!

PERFECT PART FOR NATHAN LANE

Okay. I'm a long time fan of Nathan Lane. But, I have been waiting for a vehicle that showcased his talent as well as this play does. I laughed and cried for 2 hours and 15 minutes. I did not want the evening to end. This is not one of those show where you keep checking your watch! I will be back before it closes! Run to see it. You won't be sorry. The supporting cast was just as good as the star. The Burlesque acts where terrific! They may just bring back Burlesque!

DON'T TRUST THIS THEATER

Not knowing anything about this show (including the meaning of the title), we decided to go to a Saturday matinee based on the fact that we love Nathan Lane. We asked the guys at the half price ticket booth if he typically appears during matinees and were assured that he never ever misses a performance. When we got to the theater about 15 minutes early the entrance was already dark. We got our programs and immediately checked the insert and were relieved to see that that nothing said that Mr. Lane would not be in the play that performance. It took us about 20 minutes into the show to realize that he was not going to appear. We were so upset that it was hard to relax and concentrate on the show, since we felt cheated. We did see on the way out that the roster indicated that he would not be appearing, but it was impossible to see that on the way in since it was dark. Did the theater do that on purpose so people wouldn't complain before the show started? Mmmm...
