The Almighty has a lot to say in this incredibly funny comedy by David Javerbaum. After huge success on Broadway as well as a national tour An Act Of God is back in New York when it plays at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse. Kathleen Turner, star of stage and screen dons the cap of God as An Act Of God returns, just in time for Christmas!
Starting out as a series of tweets from his parody account, 'TheTweetOfGod', David Javerbaum turned his vastly popular comedy persona of God into a 90 minute play which sees the Almighty joined by his two Arch-Angels, Michael and Gabriel (of course). Over the course of an hour and a half God sets out his brand new commandments whilst his Angels ask rather difficult questions about humanity. What ensues is an intensely funny and interesting discussion, filled with gags!
Having appeared in over three dozen films Turner is an Academy-Award nominee, Tony Award nominee and a multiple Golden Globe winner. Kathleen Turner's acting brilliance brings An Act of God into another realm of excellence, even the big man Himself would be pleased!
