A Tchaikovsky-themed mixed program
Translated as "memory of a dear place", this Alexei Ratmansky work is themed around a Tchaikovsky-themed piece written for piano and violin provides the focus for this charming work. Itself part of a mixed program, it was first performed by the Dutch National Ballet during their 2011/12 season, where it received unanimous praise.
The mixed program is largely based on the music of Tchaikovsky, with excerpts taken from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and Swan Lake;
Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Mozartiana, The Nutcracker pas de deux, Swan Lake Act II pas de deux, AfterEffect and Aurora's Wedding.
